Make A Difference As A Radio Warneford Volunteer

Do you have a few hours to spare on a regular basis during the evenings or at weekends? Do you want to make a real difference to people in your community? Are you 18 or over? Have you ever thought about becoming a Radio Warneford volunteer?

The station, which has been broadcasting to patients in South Warwickshire for 37 years, is looking for enthusiastic people of all ages (minimum age 18) who are willing to volunteer their services either on a weekday evening or during the day on Saturdays or Sundays. Volunteers will collect requests from patients on the wards, help put programmes together and of course be fully trained up to broadcast live on air!

Radio Warneford's Station Manager, Ley Bricknell, says "Being a member is a really rewarding way to spend your spare time. It gives you the chance to meet people from all walks of life and an opportunity to learn about radio broadcasting thanks to a comprehensive training programme. All you need to get started is to have a couple of hours to spare on the same day or evening every week - and loads of enthusiasm! Working at Radio Warneford will give you an enormous sense of satisfaction."

For more information about volunteering and membership at Radio Warneford, please contact the Membership Secretary, Paul Chand, on 01926 401402 or email recruitment @ radiowarneford.com. Membership information and an application form can be found in the Getting Involved section of our website.
