Date: 26 September 2007 Make The Most Of Your Free Time Do you have a couple of hours to spare on a Friday evening or at weekends? Do you want to do something special for your community? Are you 35 or over? Have you thought about becoming a Radio Warneford volunteer? Station Manager, Ley Bricknell, says "Radio Warneford is a really rewarding way to spend some of your free time. All you need to get started is a couple of hours each week and loads of enthusiasm!" The station, which has been broadcasting to patients for nearly 35 years, is looking for people who are 35 and over to volunteer their services either on Friday evenings, or on Saturdays or Sundays. Volunteers will collect requests from patients on the wards, help put programmes together and of course be fully trained up to broadcast live on air! Ley Bricknell adds "Volunteering for just a couple of hours a week at Radio Warneford is really rewarding and can give you an enormous sense of satisfaction. It also gives you the chance to meet people from all walks of life and an opportunity to learn all about radio broadcasting." For more information about volunteering and membership at Radio Warneford, please contact Ley Bricknell on 01926 401402 or email recruitment @ radiowarneford.com.
