Date: 4 December 2006 BUDDING PRESENTERS WANTED FOR RADIO WARNEFORD! Fancy yourself as a bit of a broadcaster, entertaining listeners with witty anecdotes and soothing tunes? Warwick Hospital's radio station, Radio Warneford, is looking for new volunteers to join the team on a Sunday. Station Manager, Ley Bricknell, says "Radio Warneford is a really rewarding way to volunteer your time. And you don't have to know anything about broadcasting - we'll teach you all that. All you need is a couple of hours each week and bags of enthusiasm!" The station, which has been broadcasting to patients for 33 years, needs people over 18 to volunteer between 10am and 1pm each Sunday. Volunteers will get requests from patients on the wards, help put programmes together and of course be fully trained up to broadcast live on air! Ley Bricknell adds "Volunteering for just a couple of hours a week can give you an enormous sense of satisfaction, the chance to meet people from all walks of life and an opportunity to learn all about radio broadcasting." For more information about volunteering for Radio Warneford on Sundays or any other day of the week, please contact Ley Bricknell on 01926 401402. Membership leaflets and an application can be found on our website at www.radiowarneford.com Notes For Editors For more information and photo and interview opportunities, please contact Ley Bricknell by email at ley.bricknell@radiowarneford.com
