The Friday Faves were triumphant at Radio Warneford's Quiz Night on Saturday 19th May beating Technical Hitch by just 2 points in the final round. The Bogey Hole came third.
It was a close-fought contest with the top three teams finishing within 6 points of each other. As well as securing individual prizes for their win, The Friday Faves will have their team name engraved on the Meanley Trophy donated for the event by the late Graeme Meanley who was Radio Warneford's Life President. The Quiz was held at The Wardens in Kenilworth and the evening also included the presentation of awards to members for the best programmes broadcast by Radio Warneford during 2011.
The Two Castles Run
The run sets off from Warwick Castle and travels through the streets of Warwick and the surrounding countryside ending up 10km later in the ruins of Kenilworth Castle. Paul has been a volunteer member at Radio Warneford for eight years and has decided to raise money for the station. "I get to witness first hand the joy, comfort, excitement, amusment and nostalga the station can bring to patients, staff and visitors, and hope to be able to do so for many more years to come," says Paul. "However for this to continue fundraising is essential and this is why I'd love you to sponsor me doing the Two Castles Run 2012 in aid of Radio Warneford." Trust recognised as a "Top 40 Hospital"
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised as a "Top 40 Hospital" for the third consecutive year. This award acknowledges the Trust as one of the top-performing acute trusts across the UK.
