Happy New Year from Radio Warneford
If you have got some free time on your hands and you are looking for an exciting new interest, then why not do something special for your community here in South Warwickshire.
Radio Warneford is on the lookout for new volunteers who have a few hours to spare each week and would like to help visit patients on the wards and collect record requests.
The station is currently looking to build a team of retired people, or those with a little bit of time on their hands, who can visit patients on the wards during the day. Although Radio Warneford's members visit patients each evening, there is often not enough time to chat about the pieces of music or comedy sketches that they may like to hear later that day.
We also have spaces in some of our broadcasting teams, both weekday evenings and on Sundays.

Why I Joined Radio Warneford...
* Radio Warneford volunteers must be at least 18 years old but there is no upper age limit!
Radio Warneford has a special magazine for patients and the 2016 edition is still available!
The magazine is packed full of archive photographs and newspaper reports charting Radio Warneford's development from its first studio in a broom cupboard at the Warneford Hospital in 1973 to its current studio complex at Warwick.
You can also find out more about the service that we provide including our most popular record requests as well as some of the highlights to listen out for during the day.
The new magazine is available free of charge from our displays around the hospital including the main entrance and in Outpatients.
You can also read our new magazine online at any time at http://warwick.smilepublishing.com
We have added a new clip to our RadioWarneford YouTube channel.
