Just 15 hours and 59 minutes to go! This weekend sees the climax of Radio Warneford's 35th anniversary celebrations - a special 35-Hour non-stop Marathon Broadcast!
We also have interviews with BBC Midlands Today's Michael Collie, a long-time supporter of Radio Warneford, Roy Joyner from the League of Friends, Max Down from the Wellesbourne Lions and Graeme Meanley MBE, Radio Warneford's Life President, who has worked tirelessly for the station since the early days. Other highlights include an introduction to the samba and the infectious party music of Brazil. We extend an invitation to the young at heart to board the Good Ship Warneford and meet a few of the most notorious pirates, learn the truth about parrots and walk the plank! Our Wednesday team are performing a Victorian melodrama by Brian J Burton - "One Month To Pay Or The Sailors Return" - and we take a fascinating trip behind the scenes at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon. The marathon ends with some fantastic live music from Graham & Jooles Hayden and Matt Hernandez at a special end-of-Marathon party.
Radio Warneford has received more than £1000 of sponsorship, donations and prizes for the marathon broadcast. We would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support. Competition Prizes
