Our Service - Fundraising

Recycle Your Trash For Cash

Recycle Your Mobile Phones For Radio Warneford

Your old mobile phones can be recycled to raise valuable cash for us.

Radio Warneford has teamed up with leading recycling company recycling appeal in a scheme that will help boost our fundraising campaign. Every time you donate an old mobile phone to us for the recycling appeal, we will receive a cash donation.

See some of the companies and individuals who are helping us with this appeal.

Robert Morton of the recycling appeal says "Throwing an old mobile phone away is not a good idea to say the least. Mobiles contain cadmium, a dangerous and highly toxic substance. Once dumped in landfill sites, the phone casing corrodes and the cadmium leeches out into the soil. So it's not a very environmentally friendly move to dump your old mobile. But that's not the only reason you should not throw your phone away.

We recycle old mobile phones and give around 50% of the profit to hundreds of charities, including Radio Warneford. Through our recycling programmes we have been able to donate over £1.5 million to good causes.

Another reason for recycling your phone is that it can help developing countries. Many developing nations do not have a comprehensive landline infrastructure. As a result, mobile phones may be the only way of communicating over a distance. We send old mobiles to these countries, thereby helping improve communication."

So put your old mobile phones to one side. Free collection can be arranged from anywhere in the UK. To find out how to get yours collected free, call recycling appeal direct on 08712 50 50 50 or send them in sturdy packaging to:
